another of Lucy's "paper + plastic recycling bin find + watercolor painting + glue= treats for birds" projects. This time, as we didn't have any birdseed, she grabbed nuts and seeds from the pantry. We'll see how the songbirds like almonds.
We've been going on almost daily foraging walks and gathering nettles and dandelions and violets. Here was a lovely fuzzy foxglove before it flowers.
and here's my monstrous two year old calendula plant which self-seeded about a dozen seedlings this spring. I keep a box on the sideboard just for calendula. I set the blossoms on top of the box and when they're dry, I toss them in the box. I know, real high tech. It seems to work, and I fully intend to mimic a friends rather amazing calendula salve this autumn.

love your little guy's mama-mades :) calendula is on my list of things to add to our growing yardscape.... if it's not a secret recipe, i'd love to hear about your salve when you make it!

What i don't understood is actually how you're now not actually a lot more well-appreciated than you might be now. You are very intelligent. You already know thus considerably when it comes to this topic, made me individually imagine it from so many various angles. Its like women and men are not fascinated except it is something to accomplish with Lady gaga! Your individual stuffs nice. At all times take care of it up!

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I'm very glad to see such excellent info being shared freely out there.
